Super Bowl XLVII Champions
Baltimore Ravens
It is official, the Baltimore Ravens have defeated the San Francisco 49ers in a thriller at the Mercedes Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. The game was awesome, but way too close for Ravens fans. The final score was 34-31.
During this game many Ravens stepped up like Tight End Dennis Pitta, Wide out Anquan Boldin, the defense, and most of all Quarterback and Super Bowl XLVII MVP Joe Flacco. I know that Joe and the offense started off hot, but Ray Lewis and the defense should no mercy to Colin Kaepernick and the Niner offense. The turnovers played a huge role in the win tonight. I believe the 34 minutes power outage and game stoppage hindered the Ravens from running up the score. I wanted to see the Ravens put up a forty burger, but the blackout allowed San Francisco to regroup and refocus. After the power outage, the 49ers went on a 17-0 run that allowed them to come within three points. With the game growing closer and reality of a Championship fading away, the Baltimore Ravens offense and defense made key stops that allowed the Vince Lombardi to come home with Ray and the Baltimore Ravens.
Again, congratulations to Joe Flacco for earning the Most Valuable Player in Super Bowl XLVII, Ray Lewis for his incredible, legendary, Hall of Fame season, and the entire Ravens franchise on their second NFL Championship.
