Addition to The Family
Hello everyone. I hope everybody enjoyed his/her weekend. For this Tasty Treat Monday I have a new addition to the our vault, dirt pudding. Have anyone heard of the treat white trash? It's a mixture of pretzels. cereal, and nuts covered in white chocolate. White trash makes a great treat but dirt pudding is the icing on the cake. Its a great party snack for the kids especially during the halloween season.
You will need:
- 2 3.5oz packages of instant French Vanilla pudding mix
- 3 cups of milk
- 1 cup of confectioners' sugar
- 2 8oz package of cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup of butter, softened
- 1 12oz container frozen whipped topping, thawed
- 1 14oz package of chocolate cream-filled sandwich cookies, crushed (Oreo Cookies)
Directions:
- Whisk French vanilla pudding mix with milk in a large bowl until softly set, about 2 minutes. Pudding will thicken as it stands. Cream confectioners' sugar, cream cheese, and butter in a separate bowl until smooth and creamy. Stir cream cheese mixture into pudding until thoroughly combined; gently fold frozen whipped topping into the mixture.
- Place half the cookie crumbs into the bottom of an 9x12-inch dish; retain remaining crumbs for topping. Spread the filling over the layer of cookie crumbs and top with remaining crumbs, covering completely. Chill for at least 30 minutes.
Enjoy the dirt pudding.
